Volcanic Hazards Awareness and Knowledge Survey

0%
Welcome to the "Volcanic Hazard Awareness and Knowledge Survey," a project co-developed by the Geological Survey of Canada and the Centre for Natural Hazards Research at Simon Fraser University. The goal of the survey is to gain a better understanding of Canadians' awareness, knowledge, concerns, and needs regarding volcanic hazards. The results of the survey will offer important insight for designing future volcano risk reduction policies and programs in Canada.

Who Can Participate?
If you are a resident of British Columbia, age 18 or older, you are eligible to participate.

How much time does the survey take?
Depending upon the depth of your responses, participation time may vary from 12 to 15 minutes.

Important things to know before you start:
  • Since this survey aims to evaluate participants' knowledge and perception of volcanic hazards in Canada, it would be appreciated if you DO NOT do any online searches.
  • The survey will not allow you to return to the previous page.
  • Since the survey has been designed for a computer interface (e.g., desktop, laptop), we suggest you NOT use mobile devices to take the survey.
